Yeah, definitely give them a shot. I honestly did not even think about putting new pups in it for...4 months at least. I know a few guys personally that still stand by the V7-V8 pups. Only complaint I would have ever about them is that they occasionally are not crisp enough. But the tone ranges are awesome on them. (And btw, I still have the stock pups in mine...
