You have a valid point, but in my opinion, it is a shame to use such a wood in a beautiful guitar. I'd like to have a combination of woods if I were spending big bucks on a custom axe, myself.

Does anyone know if there are any types of basswood? (For example, we have african mahogany, nato, and american mahogany)
