Better tone is a question of taste and not (necessarily) of hardware.
That's why i told him to try the guitar before buying something based on specs...

Sorry about that but we see it everyday, everywhere. Why should i buy a Porsche if i'm the Volkswagen-type? The Porsche has better hardware hence the performance is better. Yes, on a racetrack.
Try those things before buying them, don't rely solely on hardware like guitars were things like cars. Those are instruments and they have souls. I also played some expensive and feature-packed stuff and all i can tell that the sound was good with good hardware but it wasn't me.
Everyone should consider this point if he really loves his instrument or intends to love it. Guitars are not some stuff that lays around at home and can be played if wished. It's a commitment for some of us and the guitar becomes a part of our personalities. I'll never sell my 7321 not just because i like her sound but also because i love especially that guitar and no matter with what specs or price someone comes, i'll never give her up because to me she sounds just right. I will buy others and i will surely try to love them but my 7321 will stay with me for the rest of my life. It's emotional and it's okay llllllllllllllllllllll In Honor of Johann and the 100K thread
