Look, if you're happy with your stock RG7321, congrats, but there's a good reason why 99.9% of the rest of the world thinks they sound like shit with the stock pickups. Some things are opinion based, but some things are just fact. Fact is the 7321 has flimsy cheap components in crucial areas, and their pickups are no exception.
Caring about gear doesn't mean we're 'tech-fanatics', it means we actually give a shit about our craft and tone. That's a good thing. Of course you're right, people should try things out and see what they like, I agree with you there. But the RG7321 does have some legit flaws that people here have pointed out, in order to help the original poster.
I wouldn't wish an RG7321 on anyone, but that's just me. As everyone else in this thread has mentioned, you can get a used MIJ Ibanez RG7, ESP, or Schecter for the same price as an RG7321 new. |
