| you could try super-dampening the pickups with foam pads. i´m guessing that´s what they use for height adjustment, right? just add some thinner foam pads to the pickup cavity, like around the sides and stuff, and see if it helps. if not, then see if lowering the gain does anything. if that´s not it either, then i´m guessing the 707 has a frequency peak that gives it it´s voice, and this peak is what is causing you problems. it could be fixed with a good EQ, but then you´d kill the character of the pickup...
so i´m pretty much guessing it´s because the pickup is very hot and trebly. try lowering gain, if not, blackouts! :P --------------------------------------
