In answer to this, in most cases yes it would be, but it turned out the amp which didn't sound ice picky, actually literally sounded like it was behind a wall. You get used to the sound when its the only amp you are playing on, but when I compared it to my Engl, it was night and day.

Turned out the amp had a problem with its power section, but I didn't get to find out until I compared the two amps......outside of warranty

Thats the problem with buying amps while at Uni and theres problems, or at least thats what happened to me
