Just seen this thread. A K7FB no less. But I'd have to agree with Matt on this one....only if your buying new. I wouldn't buy the K7 new over the Carvin if for no other reason that you can pick the wood for the body, neck and fretboard plus choice of finish. Pickups....

. Pickups are the last thing for me when I'm checking on the specs. Pickups will always be an easy fix. But if you can score a used K7 for a reasonable price I say go for it. I like em. I've owned both the gray and blue one. Good guitars. Nice and simple layout.
