One of my all time favourite bands! 'The Girl Who Was...Death!' is an undisputed classic. As you said, perfect to listen to with headphones, late at night in a dark room, ideally with rain tapping on the windows.

If you're a fan, you should check out an Austrian band called Dornenreich. They mix elements of raw black metal with acoustic guitar and DD-ish vocal craziness.
