| I generally can't get into metalcore at all. I recognize the individual talents of the musicians in some of the bands, but it's just way too formulaic and unoriginal for my tastes.
The boring breakdowns are really what amuse me the most. It's getting to the point where I can spot one coming a mile away and then just laugh as the "C--0---00-----0----------------------0---" stuff ensues for the next 2 minutes. Breakdowns can be fun, but these guys just don't do them in a fun or interesting way at all. The lack of imagination really is shocking to me sometimes.
In conclusion, I understand the appeal, some of it catchy, but it's just not my cup of tea at all. Just not dark or edgy enough. |
