| To be honest Im with Nick on this. Machine Head are one of my favourite bands, along with Death, Opeth and Cryptopsy. I avoid Supercharger and Burning Red with all that I can but I think this kind of argument comes up waay to often in relaion to solid bands who are diversifying their sound. Look at what Machine Head achieved through Supercharger etc. They went broke and were nearly finished. Through the Ashes of empires effectively saved them. I think saying that the second guitarists didnt have an influence on the material is stupid, considering where their stle has gone with each change of hands. GEE, WHAT A SHOCK, MORE THRASHY WITH PHIL DEMMEL, WHO WOULDA THUNK IT? I hear people bitching about Digimortal by Fear Factory all the time, simply cause it is different to their prior releases, a change in vocal style may mean, a change in vocal style, for no reason other than keeping the music from being stale. I think just because they are a headlinging mainstream act recieve much more flak than other bands with less of a name for themselves would. I think it's fairly obvious machine head are leading as opposed to following. Ibanez RG1527 w/ Seymour Duncan Custom SH-5
