I routed the bridge a good 3-4 mm deeper and you could probably go another mm or 2 mm without worrying too much but to be honest I personally wouldn't be really comfortable getting those last few mm. right now it's fine but any more would be pushing shit up the proverbial hill. There's plenty left but I wouldn't guess there was more than 5 mm, max. All that is the long way of responding "Not dangerously so," to probably the most important of your concerns.
And my camera is at the gf's house so no pics for now. I doubt I'll get it before the full install is complete, at which point there will be (as promised!) pics.
One quick quick question, right now the bottom and sides of the newly routed section is bare wood, is there anything in particular I should finish it with, or is it fine bare? The dude at the guitar shop said not to bother unless it's likely to get a severe wetting (which it isn't), but I remain dubious.
