i don't think the A5 brings the output level down much... i always thought the Blaze neck had a lot of P.A.F. qualilties to it, the A5 just pushes those qualities further and takes away some of the high end harshness that i feel it has. the A5 seems to bump the midrange up a little and gives it this raspy growl that wasn't there with the Ceramic magnet.

all in all i found it pushes the Blaze into a more of an overwound vintage style P.A.F. sound. sort of a brighter, higher output SD Pearly Gates or Gibson 490R.
