I posted this in another thread, but it's buried under a lot of other garbage. In an effort to maybe come to some sort of consensus, I was hoping those that have or have attempted to replace their LFR7 with an OFR7 on a DC7x7 could chime in:

Really? So the one place I can find to buy them new is here:
Floyd Rose Bridge and Parts for Sale at Guitar Asylum
You can specify the nut spacing, but I'm assuming that doesn't equate to any changes in the spacing of the trem itself, only the locknut. I guess I could go ahead and order one and see how it fits.
Did the trem posts that came with the OFR fit into the Carvin mountings, or did you just use the Carvin LFR studs?
EDIT: here's a nice closeup pic I found of the LFR. My concern would be the very ends of the trem where it sets into the studs. The OFR seems to curl around the studs more, so I would assume you either need to route or cut back the OFR to fit.
Here's the only pic I can find of the OFR... you can see how it would seem to wrap around the post more, although perhaps it's just my imagination:
The other thing I've noticed is that the LFR on my guitar has some of the individual saddles shimmed to raise them. Not sure if I'd run into issues there either.
So to sum up, issues I've heard reported are:
1) string spacing
2) trem block sticks out the rear cavity
3) routing required around trem posts
4) correct setup for the 14" radius fretboard (???)
