ok I had my 7620 borrowed to my bandmate for ages now cause he somehow broke his LTD 6-string on stage (the trem to be more precise) and Thomann took AGES not beeing able to get replacement parts (its been months now). but now he finally managed to just get his money back from them and bought a new, better LTD (MH400 if I remember correctly? too lazy to look it up now, its a 6 again though

lol) so I will get my 7620 back soon (probably today or next week).
what I will definitally do to it when I have some time is restring and give it a setup. its got some problems staying in tune it seems and I suspect the trems knife-edges to be worn. will have a look at them when I take the old strings off. can I do anything to fix that? or could something else be the problem?
I actually thought about blocking the trem
also:
any ideas what else I could do to it to make it something really cool again? its gonna be my backup guitar for the RAN. it has the original neck-PU (that I actually hardly use) that the previous owner got rewound and rewaxed he said and a Duncan Custom in bridge.
I thought about doing something that maybe changes the look a bit, giving it something new and fresh you know? also has a few dings and scratches (nothing too deep though).
I remember loving the look of that RG7 I once saw (I think it belonged to Munkey from Korn) that was all black with white binding and PUs. of course I am nowhere near skilled enough to attempt putting binding on a guitar, hmmmmm.........
have any ideas for me? start talking guys!
also: what strings? I play D
Addario 10-59 on my 26.5" scale RAN, same for the 25.5" RG? or GHS 10-60 maybe? or go with elixir 10-68 once more?
