Both the 707 and 81-7 have the potential to sound cool, but I'd strongly recommend going with Seymour Duncans, DiMarzios, BKP, etc. If you do want an active pickup, at least get the Seymour Duncan Blackout standard sized pickups. If you opt for EMGs, you will be stuck with those forever due to their oversized 4-string bass housings. | well my next choice was the black out for 7 string, any good? |
