I did actually. The night before I hung out with you guys I brought it down to our rehearsal space and played it through our rigs. The 808 sounds exactly the same as every 707 I've had, except it sounded way more massive due to that manly neck. The fundamental tone/response was the same though. It still had all the signature EMG feedback/noise (primarily a tube amp issue I'd assume, you're probably safe

Noise issues aside, the RG8 sounded absolutely fucking amazing through my VHT. I'm fully convinced it's the neck. Palm mutes sounded like sledgehammers and single notes on the F# and B strong had such a brutal roar to it. Love it. The UV sounded thin in comparison.

I miss that guitar. I'd like to hear what the Blackout 8 would sound like thru it, but I'm all for the EMG808 if you're lucky enough to avoid the feeedback at extreme volumes (which I'm sure you do).
