| I was always under the impression you couldn't put a stop payment on a cashier's check. It's not drawn on an account, it's just bank certified cash.
Apparently, however, you can. The problem is, because the funds aren't drawn on an account, when it's presented for redemption it's honored immediately. So basically, try putting a stop order on it. But given the time that appears to have elapsed, I don't think you'll have much luck. I'm guessing that people doing fradulent business on ebay don't get cashier's checks and then sit on them for a few weeks... |
