Way more bottom end and full sounding. So much so I had to lower the bass on my amp considerably. I haven't tried the Blackout neck in the bridge yet either, I suspect that would be amazing too (sure is in the neck position, best neck pickup I've ever heard from a high output pickup).
It's not perfect, nothing is, but it's about as close as they come. I still don't know if it's my favorite sound ever, but it's a remarkable pickup. It does everything you'd want from an EMG but without all the things people hate about EMGs. Now some people won't vibe with it anyways, it has its own sound, but I believe there's a good reason why so many good players are switching to these (then again, people I respected switched to Krank too, but I'd like to think EMG and Seymour Duncan don't NEED to kiss peoples ass to play their shit).
PS: The output on these things are crazy, I lower the pickup height way more than I'd ever put an EMG (those sound best close to the strings).
