Yeah, the fundamental isn't half as important as you might think. I've got a low cut that generally is set at about 90-100hz, and I've recently been messing around with my guitar that's currently tuned to B an octave below the B you're talking about (which I guess would be at about 31hz if a typical low B is 62hz or so). It sounds fine.
