| 50w is plenty loud, that shouldn't be an issue. What you do run into quicker on a 50w amp is power stage distortion. You'll find 100w stays a little tighter for the same given volume level, which can be beneficial if you're playing low tuned metal. Transformer design, tube types, circuit design, and biasing are big things here too. A well executed 50w amp will decimate a poorly executed 100w amp. |
