both cabs are completely different! i ABed both and with an Orange PPC412, and well, if you look at my sig you'll know my opinion on this

anyway, the engl standard sounded slightly scooped and with very present highs. Bass was very present and tight. I'd still take this cab over a 1960, which would have all the bad qualities of the engl v60 + flubby bass.
The first thing i noticed after plugging into the engl vintage is that the midrange was WAAY more present. Almost honky. In fact, it was honky Highs were much more pleasant, and the cab sounded more musical and fuller than the v60 engl.
Now to the orange: DAMN! this thing simply blew me away from the first time i plugged in! The bass response on this thing is the best i've heard. Mids are focused and present, but not honky at all. Highs weren't shrill at all, but still present and the cab sounded very consistent regardless of where i was standing. All in all, it sounded more threedimensional and hifi than the engl cabs.

I should also mention that the engl vintage and the orange reacted pretty well to amp setting changes, while the v60 cab has a very strong character that make different amp EQ settings sound almost the same after a while. I also found this cab to be a bit fatiguing for my ears
