I'm an Ibanez-aholic personally... I've tried a couple other 7's, and didn't really like them compared to my Ibanez's. I've never had the pleasure of playing an S, but I've got a K-7, which is essentially an RG, and I've got to say I love it. Go to your local Guitar Center and pull down an RG7321 (The black fixed-bridge one) and try that out. The neck, body shape, and overall feel should be fairly similar 7620, minus the better construction and pickups. I doubt you'd be able to find somewhere to try a 7 with a trem like the RG7620, so try one of the Ibanez 6's to get a feel for it (if they're not all horribly out of tune, like most guitars at GC). I love the Lo-Pro on my K-7, so I'd say the trem on the 7620 would probably be good. And hell, if you're not too set on a Trem, go for an RG7321. They're cheap, so that might be good for a newbie, even though you'll probably end up changing the pickups or selling it or something. All and all, I've loved every Ibanez I've played, and felt like the necks on the Shecter's and other 7's I've tried were a little too chunky... so my vote's on the 7620.
If you're out there and you're cute, maybe you're beautiful, I just wanna tell you something... there's more of us ugly m*ther f*ckers then you are.
