I think the Evolution 7 is the best bridge pickup DiMarzio makes for mahogany. It's ballsy, but with superb attack and growl. It's just awesome. Great for leads or heavy rhythms. It also sounds a lot better than the 6-string version.

The Blaze Custom would exaggerate the tonal properties of mahogany and not be a good fit in my opinion. It also lacks in the clarity department as it has a fairly noticible high-end roll-off. I think the blaze would be a better fit, but they can sound 'screechy' sometimes too.

I am extremely confident you'd love the Evo7 in the bridge of your guitar.
