I'm also looking at the LINE 6 ToneCore Uber Metal Guitar Modeling Pedal, here are some sound clips of the three different settings...I think it sounds cool:

I've also recently touched upon the Hughes and Kettner WARP Factor Distortion Pedal...and thanks to Seph recommendations I may be purchasing a Zoom Tri-Metal...
