Nah, the Custom is a Duncan model.

I've got the '59 and JB in my C7 Blackjack. It's not going to sound exactly the same, between the set neck vs. bolt on and 26.5" scale vs. 25.5" between the Schecter and the Ibanez, but...

The '59 is a very round, clear, and bluesy sounding pickup. It absolutely slays for moderate gain lead playing (think Gilmour, with just a touch more saturation) and is very articulate, but under high gain the same thick low end tends to make it a little sludgy. I've been told the Jazz is tighter, and more "modern" sounding (whereas the '59 is vlear yet old school), so it might be good for you - I'm certainly curious to try it.

The JB, meanwhile, has this kickass snarl in mahogany. It's got all the aggression of a chain saw. If you like Tool, this is a good pickup for you. The fizzy/brittle top end isn't really an issue for me, since I run my rhythm tone pretty dark anyway, but I guess it's worth thinking about...
