I don't like the JB in my 2027. It has an annoying top end to it, it's crunchy-ish, and the best pickup i've tried so far, but still lacks and doesn't sit well with the guitar. TDW told me when i got it that at first it'd sound great, and then the sheen would wear off and the top end character would come through. And the top end is really fizzy and brittle. In fact, the sound actually annoys me more than a bit to the point where i hardly play it.

I have a 59 in the neck of mine though, so if the jazz is a thicker, bassier, smoother less rocky pickup with a bit more gain then I think it'll be a good choice.

Seymour Duncans have definately worked the best out of all the pickups i've tried though.
