The BK's are in! But not wired, sadly.
They were sitting in there pretty crooked, but I just wrapped some cardboard in the foam that came with the BK's and put that under there, that fixed it right up! The neck pickup is pretty close to the high e, but it still rings well all the way up to the 24th. So no problem there. My dad's got some pretty nice chisels if I need to take a few mm's off the neck pup cavity. Here's a few pics of the unfinished install:
They look absolutely gorgeous!
I'll just have to give it a good cleaning when I'm done.
I don't think I'll be wiring in any push-pull pots anytime soon.
I think if I can manage the Ibanez 5-way, I'll be pretty happy.
Then I could take a look at that bass of mine...
