She's been in Hole for 5 years.
She also was in Tinker, her first band, wich opened for the Smashing Pumpkins. Corgan presented her to Courtney Love, who was looking for a bassist (the former one died of o.d.). She joined the Pumpkins (after Hole) for that one album + "farewell" tour.
