I agree on all points.

One thing I'm going to mention which I thing is worth of talking about is that the older Prestige models were slightly better quality than what is coming out nowadays. My RG1527 has several chips in the pain so far just like yours, from very tiny bumps on things that shouldn't chip a guitar at all. However, my RG3120 from 2001 has only a few chips from serious hits, while the normal bangs and stuff left nothing. Also, they used better electronics and pickups on my older guitar as well.
