| Well I bought an evo7 and stuck it in... I have to say it sounds nearly identical to what it sounded like before, at least for bass-heavy riffage. Slightly cleaner highs than the stock pickups but it's probably just because the output levels are a bit lower overall.
It sounds a bit too fuzzy for my tastes, which is also what the emg's end up sounding like through my amp.
Perhaps I'm just a seymour duncan kind of guy. I'm going to put this evo in the neck and see what it sounds like or maybe exchange it for a different dimarzio since it came with a sticker that said I could do that. |
