Because that's exactly how I'd be recording
. Nice to know they didn't use anything all that fancy, and their tone and playing shine through like glass on that album. I love their tone, but at times it feels a bit 'too' tight for my tastes (maybe they used a TS in front or something and it made it a tad too crunchy). A good comparison to this album is the newer Mercenary album - similar tone, but a touch smoother with more bottom end (maybe this was a Powerball?).
regardless, the european ambience and tone is hard hitting and precise - my kind o'shit
