Yeah, the amount of money you plan to spend is a big determining factor. If you're willing to spend about $100 on a set, I'd highly recommend the
Shure E2c earphones. I've had mine for a while now, and now everything else sounds like crap in comparison. They sound so clear that I don't even use EQ anymore. You have to wear the speakers in a bit before they sound their best, though.
