Not much I can add that hasn't already been said, save that I would argue that supporting the troops, given the lack of predefined objectives from day one and the fact that every day the war drags on hardens anti-American sentiment in the region and draws recruits to islamic extremist groups hell-bent on trying to kill those troops, would actually require
opposing the war.
Also, I suppose it should be noted that as you're lining up pretty closely with your GOP senators on this, the caveat I edited in evidently doesn't apply.

Partisan politics are exactly why we're so fucked here, in that supporting a failed nation-building excersize in an oil rich nation abroad or condemning a dishonest, incapable attorney general who was appointed not on credentials but for loyalty are now the sort of issues that, evidently, are answered by what color necktie you wear when you want to make a point, and not by their individual merits.
