It all depends if he's just made something that he thinks he can get instant cash off you for. He's real fuckin' fast to reply then
That may have been slightly below the belt......but nonetheless true.
He did it with that 'speed guitar' neck-thru 7 the other week.Man,he was all over this site and Jemsite trying to sell it, and then it ended up on ebay.
And the same with that RGA7 body the other week.
He posted about it here and there was quite a bit of interest and i emailed him to ask about making one with different options and he replied in literally 2 minutes!!!!
He obviously tried to sell me that one,and tried, and tried.
What annoys me is that he already had an order that was a good few months old for an RGA 7 body and before he'd done that one he's trying to sell one for 'new' cash.He tried to say that it was the one for the guy from here that ordered (and i think paid) for his RGA body but that he'd routed it for a trem by mistake so he was selling it on.
He does awesome work but,as with too many of these luthiers, they've got no idea how to do business in a way that is sustainable.
Why the fuck doesn't he employ a couple of people and really get the stuff coming out of there.
He could be coining it in if he did it that way. There's ALWAYS people who want good quality necks and bodies, particularly Ibanez style ones, and he can make them but he seems to take people's money and then doesn't do their orders so he's got loads of work that he can't be arsed to do because he won't get any money at the end of it (because he had it all at the beginning and fuckin' spent it!).
It's a real shame!
