There's no easy answer unfortunately. Y'know you could actually incorporate a little buzz into your tone. Listen to Doug Pinnick from Kings X or Steve DiGiorgio (Sadus, Death and about 100000 other bands) and they deliberately set their action so it buzzes a little to get a slightly distorted sound.
