Carvin 7s

ok so ive sold off my 7s, so i decided to ease the pain by going to Carvin (as its 10 minutes from my house) . yea worst idea ever . those things are awesome. the 2 specimens they had there were awesome. 1st was a DC747. solid quilted maple wings and had a quilted tung oil maple neck/board. . total awesomeness. only $1,200. they actually dropped $400 since it's been there for awhile. neck was a little thick, but got used to it. had a Chris Brodrick whammy set-up. next was a quilted 2 toned sunburst DC727 with a regular Floyd set-up. this neck was noticably thinner than the 747. i asked the clerk and he said that since they're hand sanded and stuff, that thing aren't completely the same. wish i had money for either of those. used their bel air series amp and honestly disliked the sound for the low B. switched over to the SX200 solid state and that wasnt all that better. i think the ultimate guit from Carvin would the the appearance of the 747 with the feel/pickup configuration of the 727. anyway, now that i dont have a 7 i was comming up with some killer riffs in the quiet room.
