With impedance, you add in series and average in parallel. So, if you have your two 8ohm speakers in series, you will be presenting a 16ohm load to the amp. In parallel, you will present an 8ohm load. Since the impedance is the same with both speakers, both will receive roughly 25w RMS. Amps are rated in RMS, or average, wattage, while speakers are rated in peak wattage.
All this aside, if Line6 recommended the speaker for your particular application (are you replacing old speakers with the same model?), you are completely safe.
