I absolutely love the way a V hangs when standing up. For me, they are the ultimate performance guitar.
My Stars Soloist gets almost all my playing time at home. It is the ultimate shape for lounging around on the couch, or sitting in front of the computer. If I pulled out the V at the computer, I'd knock my printer over whenever I moved. While destroying computer equipment with the axe of the gods may be metal, it is also expensive.
This is also the reason I convinced Rob to make a Strat shape. Very few people buy V's, but everyone loves a good Strat.
