Fretboard Dying Paranoia!!

Well...... I was just about to get started on the fretboard dye job on my RG7321.

The dye I purchased was Fiebing Black Leather Dye (alcohol based, not the oil) and I was ready to start taping the sides of the frets and neck areas, then all of a sudden I realized, (hey wait a minute!), the binding is overlapping the top sides of the fretboard a little (to give it the front view binded look) and I thought WOW THIS IS INTRICATE!!!!

Although the "binding" is just painted on and not really bone or plastic piping, screwing this up and allowing the dye to bleed onto the sides will be a disaster!

I can always go back and touch up the sides with white paint if this happens but jeeesss, I'LL SCREW THIS UP BIG TIME!! THIS IS IS REALLY RISKY!!!!

DYE JOB PARANOIA HAS SET IN!!! (man....I really want a super black fretboard!!!)
