I however have been wanting to build a guitar for ages, and have read every tutorial on projectguitar.com, and read Melvyn's Hiscock's book a gazillion times. I'm broke as hell right now, and once I sell that RG7CT, I'm paying a couple bills, and blowing the rest on tools. I wouldn't mind helping you with the veneer job though, although I doubt you want to trust that to someone with no real experience such as me. BTW, do you have relatives in Fredericton? I work with someone with the last name Cormier.

Uhh I dont think I have any relatives there, but there are soo many Cormiers, In Moncton there are about 5-6 pages in the phonebook with this last name, and I personally know like 3 other Nick Cormiers too =[[ Luckily I have all the main names, like Hotmail, Ebay, etc lol
Yea, I dunno if I'll go through with the guitar, I been wanting to build one for ages also, but my experiance is very low, and so far my Kelly there wasnt really a success so Im not sure I wanna take a chance on something actually costing me money lol.. But who knows, One of these days I might attempt it, probably this upcoming summer because if I could build even a decent playing guitar, That would be really awesome. I doubt I would play it much (enough to care if it was quality wise a RG350 or a RG2550) so might attempt building a neckthru Kelly soon..
I figured the hardest part is going to be getting the scale correct, setting the intonation and then the finish, and I think I could at least get the scale right, maybe the intonation good enough and then somehow get the finish with a veneer or vinyl sticker or something, however they do it for the cheaper guitars (Ibanez SZ520's top is wonderful, I love it, or Schecter Acoustics)
If I do get one made, I'll be sure to bring it down to freddy and let you take a look lol, although since you have a RG7CT you would probably like find any of my RG5xx's or SZ520's crap, let alone something I build lol
