Actually I'm wondering if there's something about quil maple that causes problems for doing a veneer... I asked Rob if veneer tops were an option on the KxKs and he said he should be able to do flame but not quilt, and then I was thinking about it and realizing I've never seen a quilt veneer 'kit' kind of thing. No idea if this is true, but it just made me wonder.
Nick, this tutorial is for a fabric, but once you have the printed top I'd guess the process is pretty similar
