My current bass rig:
Fender aerodyne jazz bass with Seymour duncan sjb-3/ spb-3 pickups - paid $550 for bass (used) and $120 for pickups (new)
Hartke vx3500 350 watt 4x10 combo paid $600 used.
Total- about $1300 after tax.
