Bronze Pick on Phosphor Bronze strings?
I've been recently looking at some metal guitar picks and was trying to decide on what kind of metal to choose. Since my electrics all use nickel coated strings, I wanted something a bit softer to make sure my strings didn't wear out too quick and something that still had a long life, I've decided on bronze. I still haven't pulled the trigger yet because I'm still not sure how regular bronze will compare in hardness to the phosphor bronze strings on my acoustic. I like to use one kind of pick for everything to keep it simple but I'm not sure if the strings on my acoustic will be able to stay in tact with me constantly using a metal pick.
TL;DR: If I use a pick that's made with bronze, will the phosphor bronze strings on my acoustic stay in tact if I use the bronze pick on them?
Any help is appreciated.
Wattage equals headroom, not volume.
Just remember we all were once that kid that played metal with a strat and a solid state amp.
