I've pretty much decided I'm going to be a solo bedroom guy always, of course always enjoying collaborating with friends in the studio! Plus the stuff I am into and composing now wouldn't really translate to a live setting I don't think.
However I do plan to compose some solo jazzy style pieces on my 9 string and grab a small amp to play at open mic nights and one day jazz bars etc. Really looking forward to that but it's a long way away! |
Have you seen the kind of guys that hit up open mics? Start going now. It'll be a great initiative to get something performable.
And the reality is, no one is there to listen to you play. They're all there to listen to themselves play.
