WRT wider fans, do notice that IIRC, Dan (Oni) himself resently said that a wide fan starts to feel not so nice when playing the upper frets, due to the relative steep angle making for a weird feel.

Also, someone (forgot who) said that double hand tapping on aggressive fans can mean having to get used to one hand doing part of the board and the other hand doing the other part, because the fanning makes the varying fret angles at different positions feel too weird for both hands being able to adjust.
