I played the omen 8, the 2011 model. pickups are bad, quality is pretty good, I liked the Hellraiser Special more, but seeing as your budget is the same as mine i'd recommend it. Get a Guitar Center coupon and then with the excess cash buy a D Activator 8 set or 1 if you can't get the other, and get some covers for that biznatch. Seriously the omen is really good! The build was as good as the Hellraiser but i liked the Pickups on the Hellraiser better.
