What the hell is an 84? Check that the battery is fresh but if its a strat it probably has a much different tone and maybe you just dont like the humbuckers? Maybe describe your setup. Try it with the coil tap on. Maybe the humbuckers are pushing the amp too hard compared to the other pickups.
