If I'm not wrong, what mainly gives the tunning stability in a floating bridge is the return to the point zero given by the pivot. As the Edge III is a fixed bridge (doesn't move either up or down), this shouldn't be an issue at all. As it is a fixed bridge, you should worry about the tuners and specially the locking nut, as your guitar has one, that'll be the important factor for stability in tunning.
