Yeah it distorts a lot, but....i run my clean channel conservitive and use a SS preamp which helps. I have it on a 5 way switch. Put it out of phase it clean up nicely, run the inner coils of both bridge and neck is sweet too.

I owned one SD ( super D)and played on many with other peoples axes. I refuse to buy and use them. I stick to Dimarizo...
