I own an ibby K-7, it's based on the earlier UV's, and it's an AWESOME guitar, totally love it.
From actual UV's, i've only played the new (2008-10) ones at an ibby store. They've all been great and i'd love to get one someday. In fact, it might just be my next guitar purchase. It's just that i should upgrade my amp, etc, first. We'll see what happens...
Also, the green dot ones look really cool, and i also love the green one (UV777 GR) but i bet they're quite rare to find.
